ETTL's construction quality assurance (CQA) experience has included municipal and industrial as well as hazardous landfills. The Company has provided such services to landfills for over twenty years. As part of these services, ETTL has had extensive experience in inspecting and evaluating many types of liner systems, from in-situ liners to the latest composite liners. At right a new cell is being completed at the City of Corsicana Landfill as a geotextile/geonet is emplaced. ETTL's responsibility in this project was liner certification, for which it did soil testing, geosynthetic testing and inspection, and prepared SLER and GLER reports.
ETTL is available to monitor contractor performance in installation of gas extraction systems, liners and final cover systems. And we also have expertise in the drafting of Landfill Gas Management Plans (LGMPs), and in installing both Gas Monitoring Probes (GMPs) and passive Methane Vent wells (MVs). In addition, our staff of professional engineers, certified geologists, engineering geologists and hydrogeologists is ready to assist landfill owners and their design consultants by monitoring the construction of leachate collection systems, leachate ponds, road bases, and foundations for structures on landfill premises.
To carry out such projects, ETTL owns and maintains a great variety of testing equipment in its materials testing laboratories at its home office in Tyler, at its Longview, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas facilities.
The professional staff and CQA technicians at ETTL are continually improving their skills and knowledge of landfill regulations and construction practices by attending educational seminars and conferences, seeking professional registration or NICET certification, and by close contact with Texas state and local TCEQ staffs, and other appropriate state agencies.
