The following equipment is readily available from ETTL's construction materials engineering operations (as well as its geotechnical engineering operations) for use in solid waste landfill and petroleum storage tank (PST) projects:
1. Nuclear density gauges (as shown at right) for determination of in-place moisture and density of soils.
2. Compaction equipment for establishing the optimum moisture-density soil relationship.
3. Soil permeability test equipment.
4. Atterberg limit test equipment and sieves for establishment of physical soil properties.
5. Metering equipment for methane gas density measurement at landfills.
6. Columbine International "Accura-Lite" Portable Testing Machine for testing tensile strength of welds in synthetic liners for sanitary landfills.
