ETTL Asphaltic Concrete Testing & Design Services

ETTL owns and maintains equipment and has skilled personnel available for such asphaltic concrete testing and design procedures as:
1. Design of asphaltic concrete by HVEEM and Marshall methods.
2. Bulk specific gravity and density of compacted mixtures.
3. Resistance to plastic flow using Marshall apparatus.
4. Resistance to deformation and cohesion by HVEEM apparatus.
5. Theoretical maximum specific gravity of asphaltic concrete paving mixtures.
6. Extraction of asphalt from paving mixtures.
7. Mechanical analysis of extracted aggregates.

An ETTL field technician uses a coring machine to take a sample from freshly placed and compacted asphaltic concrete at an airport landing strip.
